Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen - Solo

Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen has done a lot of solo concerts both A Capella, with guitar and with singing for dance. She has a wide repertoare that fits both festivals, concerts, events and other occations. She has released two solo-albums with vocal traditional music from Norway.

Synnøve Plassen feat. Norbakken/Røine

This is a new trio consisting of Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen, Anders Røine and Helge Norbakken. Their goal is to play and improvise around traditional dance music. With an explosive, spontaneus and playful sound, they do folk music with a twist.

SOLOIST

Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen is often seen as a soloist with choirs, orchestras and ensembles. With her warm and flexible voice, she handles both traditional music and contemporary music as a versatile soloist. 

HEKATE

HEKATE is a vocal trio performing traditionall dance music only with voice. Dive into the rich and vibrant world of traditional dance music, where Hekate's powerful sound and exhilarating improvisation will captivate you. They are releasing their debut album in spring 2025.

Bendik Qvam & Synnøve Plassen

This duo consists of Bendik Qvam and Synnøve Plassen, both from Nord-Østerdalen. They play traditional music from their home area, and use guitars, singing, ram horn and flutes to make new arrangements of folk music. They will be releasing their debut album in may 2025.

Michał Żak & Synnøve Plassen

This is a new duo where Polish and Norwegian music meets in the intersection of tradition and improvisation. With voice, flutes, dulcimer, clarinet and saxophone, the two musicians work in a span from meditative psalms to uplifting traditional dance tunes. They had their first concert in Warszaw in may 2024.
